Toot Together puts up to four of you on one inflatable raft that you can only steer by tooting. Each hippo pushes the raft away from its own butt, so you have to agree on where you're going. You won't.

Why it works with friends
Move your hippo
Hold A/D to walk around the rim, W/S to hop to the front or back, or point the stick where you want to stand. In a crew, each hippo owns its own coloured slice of the rim. Its butt points outward, so a toot pushes the raft the opposite way.
Toot to move
Hold Space / A / RT to toot. Every hippo's toot pushes the same raft, so one wrong toot ruins it for everyone.
Burst
Tap Shift / X for a big emergency blast. Costs a chunk of gas.
Gas tank
Tooting drains your gas. Run dry and you'll wheeze until it refills — stop for a sec to recharge.
At the finish everyone gets an award, whether they like it or not: Harmony Hippo for the most toot syncs, Saboteur for causing the most crashes, Most Toxic for the longest tooter and Silent But Deadly for the quietest.
Fast wherever your friends are
There are game servers in India and US. A new room goes on whichever answers you fastest, and the host can pick the other one when friends are far away. The room code starts with the server's letters, so a link always finds its room. Quick chat (hold Q or the chat button) says "Go left!", "Stop tooting!" and "My bad" without taking your hands off the raft.
Too many friends for one raft?
Make it a raft race: 4 rafts, up to 16 players in one room. Sharing one laptop instead? Try couch co-op.

Is it really free?
Yes. Toot Together is free to play, with no ads, no accounts and nothing to download. It is open source under the MIT licence.
Do my friends need an account or the app?
No. They open your invite link, or type the six-letter room code under Join, in any recent browser. There is no account and nothing to install.
How many people can play online?
Up to 4 hippos share one raft. A race room takes up to 4 rafts, so up to 16 people in one room.
Can phones and laptops play together?
Yes. Everyone joins the same room from whatever they have: a phone held sideways, a tablet or a laptop with a keyboard or gamepad.
